Will smart quick-connect fittings with sensors work in my existing system?

Most smart fittings are drop-in replacements dimensionally, but require power and data infrastructure. Battery-powered Bluetooth models work anywhere but need periodic battery changes. Hardwired versions require 12-24VDC and communication cables (Modbus, IO-Link), which may not exist in older installations.
